Forgotten Bases of the Midwest

During WWII the armed forces built a number of military installations and utilized many of the colleges for purposes of training. When we started the project to save the base headquarters at NAS Ottumwa we quickly realized many other installations have or are suffering the same fate. Whereas we may not be in a position to create a museum at each base we can ensure that this history is preserved.

There were other Navy E-Bases built such as Olathe and Hutchinson Kansas.

Schools such as the University of Iowa served a role.

Over the next few months we will continue to expand this section.
